ASSIGNMENT 1A AND 1B

Below you will find embedded the help sheet for your forthcoming assignment 1. As you know this breaks into two tasks: one analytical, one creative and both demonstrating your skills and knowledge.

This help sheet is to be used both as a reminder of what you will need to do and as a check list. You may not do everything on it in your two tasks but you should aim to do most of the things it asks. You are all capable of getting good grades for this and if you apply yourself well during the controlled assessment you will be fine.

CONTROLLED ASSESSMENT

This is unlike homework or coursework in that you will be doing it under 'controlled conditions' in class. You are however allowed to prepare for your work at home and bring in for example, the magazine Covers which you want to analyse. The work then done in class may be treated as draft and you can take a copy of it home to word process if you would prefer to submit this way. Similarly, photos can be taken out of school, printed and brought in but must be original. They can be manipulated in school or at home but all draft versions should be kept to verify the process you have gone through to achieve your final assignment.

Your controlled assessments will begin in November and be finished by the end of the month.
