Last week we continued to explore the denotations and connotations of school images. These still need loading onto your blogs and this must be done this week. I will place all the images in a folder for you to upload and use. This will be your homework from me this coming week.
In addition you worked on Magazine covers with Ms Doyle and this look as if it was highly productive. Please remember to continue with your work at home, choose new examples, upload them and annotate.
THis week we will be revising your knowledge and understanding of Denotation and Connotation and learning some new terms: Signifier and Signified as well as introducing some more key terminology.
These terms are important and you must make an effort to make them a regular part of the vocabulary you use in Media Studies.

Week 2
So far this week our focus has been on getting you up and running with BLOGS and despite some problems, I think most of you are there. Those who aren't MUST let me know so that we can sort this on Monday.
Below you will find the presentation for today's lesson, please note that the HOMEWORK is on the PENULTIMATE SLIDE (the last but one).
To complete it you will need to know your gmail login (though it can be done without this) so that you can use the same passwords etc. and you will need to make a note of what you do. The links below will be of use as well.
